More Information On Acne Hygiene - Keep Your Skin Clean From Bacteria In Order To Avoid Blackheads
By Jody Robison

Many people believe that one of the major things causing acne is dirt. You have to understand that acne is not caused by dirt. However, in case you already have acne, you need to ensure that your skin is clean all the time because dirt tends to increase the symptoms of acne. Thus, in order to get rid of acne with amazing speed, you have to take care and follow proper acne hygiene.

You need to use a medicated skin cleanser regularly which will keep your skin free from the dirt and dust particles that accumulate in the pores. If you merely use soap on your skin and hope that there will be no traces of dirt after that, you are wrong. Dirt penetrates different layers of the skin and you need to use a cleanser and soap in order to ensure that your skin is absolutely free from the dirt.

Apart from dirt, other things that affect the health of the skin and aggravate acne are germs and parasites. When we go out on the roads, our skin is exposed to air and sunlight. air contains millions and millions of germ particles that can settle into your skin and start reproducing. The most common forms of bacteria that enjoy comfortable homes on your skin are propionibacteria and escheria coli. These kinds of bacteria have an adverse effect on skin - they make the hair follicles narrow and thereby restrict sebum discharge.

There are also instances when the bacteria teams up with sebum and creates plaque. Plaque is the worst possible thing to happen to your skin because it blocks the hair follicles and form whiteheads and blackheads. These blackheads often worsen to

form pimples, pustules or papules.

The bacteria takes all the essential nutrients that it needs to survive from your skin and at the same time, it harms the skin. Thus, in order to combat bacteria, especially when you already have acne, you need to be well aware of acne hygiene.

You should not use a towel for drying your face. Towels generally have scores of bacteria which can settle down on your skin once you dry your face with a towel. Although many individuals tend to neglect this, this is a very important aspect of acne hygiene.

If you are someone who uses cosmetics on the skin, you must wash off all the cosmetics from your skin when you go off to sleep at night. Cosmetics tend to block the pores on the skin and thereby should be washed off at regular intervals to keep the skin healthy.

Try to wash your face with a medicated cleanser at regular intervals when you have acne. There are many soaps and cleansers which have acne fighting elements in them. These products usually clean the excess oils from your skin and help the skin breathe. This keeps the skin fresh and healthy, also fighting acne.

So, whether you have acne or not, you should try and keep these points of acne hygiene in mind. If you follow these tips regularly, you will be able to have healthy and fresh skin which not only looks good but is also healthy from within.
